Funny. As I was writing out my title for this post a little thought in the back of my head struck me as funny. Kathy over at Irreverent Freelancer tagged me for a meme on better blogging tips and I just realized that my title has my very first tip in it.
But first, the rules: You know, I’m not sure there are any so we shall wing it K?
Simply put list your best blogging tips (however many you want) and at the end list some bloggers to play along.
Tip 1. As my title suggests, this meme is over due. So my first tip would be Don’t fall off the face of the earth. I’ve done this before and it’s not pretty. No one likes a here today gone tomorrow blogger. I had a favorite blogger and I just checked her blog… hasn’t been updated since July of last year. I know she’s not dead but she’s not posting either.
Tip 2. Be a person…. I’ve read blogs that just regugitate facts and information. I’m not sure that these blogs are actually authored by real people since I’ve never seen any of them inject a little of themselves into their posts, I can’t be too sure. I probably inject waaaayy too much of myself for comfort to some of my readers but that’s me and I don’t know how to blog without being me.
Tip 3. Get pushy… on yourself. Look at your past posts and see where you’ve been and how you can improve. I think that if you look at this blog from when it first started to now… you will see I’ve grown and changed a little.
There you have it. Some tips and rules that I have been known to break 🙂 Learn from my mistakes and be a better blogger.
