As knitters go, I’ve been a bit of a slacker. I’ve not done nearly as much knitting as I’d like to of late and it shows. I’m on edge and cranky. No one likes me when I’m cranky. I know without a doubt that it’s stress but right now I’m not sure I can change it.
Sigh, what’s a knitter to do?
I’ve kept up on my knitting obsession through instagram and one of the accounts that I love to follow and heart is We Are Knitters. Their knit pics are knitting perfection. The yarn looks absolutely divine. On more than one occasion I’ve wished I could heart some of their instagrams more than once.
I was pleased as punch when they emailed and asked to host a giveaway with me. They sent me an absolute perfect kit of my choice, yarn, also of my choice, in exchange for setting up an amazing giveaway. (<– disclosure ya’ll).
Did I tell you I’m excited? I mean like… over the moon excited! But before we get to that, let me tell you a bit more about We Are Knitters.
We Are Knitters is an international luxury yarn and knitting kit company. They ship worldwide glorious yarns and knitting kits (you know how I feel about knitting kits? Send me all the kits!!). They offer wool, cotton, baby alpaca, and merino yarns in addition to needles, notions, and pattern kits. The wool and cotton yarns are all 100% natural as are their Beechwood needles.
Now on to the good stuff…
I opted for the Doughnut Beanie and Snood Kit in the colors purple and grey. This is one of their easy knit kits. The beanie and snood are knit up flat then stitched up the sides (don’t forget to weave in your ends). I’m more than half way done with the beanie and I am so glad I get to touch this yarn. I could touch it all day, every day. It’s incredibly soft and squishy. I hate wearing anything made with stiff yarn close to my face or neck. This.Is.Perfection. God Bless those sheep. I’d love it if you follow my progress with the Doughnut Beanie and Snood kit on instagram hashtag #nikkiknitsasnood
Now that you know what was in it for me (yarn, duh), let’s talk about what you’re getting.

I’m so conflicted about sharing news of your giveaway since the more people who know the lower my odds of winning – and this yarn looks GORGEOUS. But I’ll play fair and hope spread the word.
What color would I choose? There are so many great colors it will be hard to choose. But the natural tones seem to be calling my name.
Trish Carpenter
