We Are Knitters Udon Blanket Kit Giveaway (Closed)

By Know-it-All Nikki 33 Comments

As knitters go, I’ve been a bit of a slacker. I’ve not done nearly as much knitting as I’d like to of late and it shows. I’m on edge and cranky. No one likes me when I’m cranky. I know without a doubt that it’s stress but right now I’m not sure I can change it.

Sigh, what’s a knitter to do?

I’ve kept up on my knitting obsession through instagram and one of the accounts that I love to follow and heart is We Are Knitters. Their knit pics are knitting perfection. The yarn looks absolutely divine. On more than one occasion I’ve wished I could heart some of their instagrams more than once.

I was pleased as punch when they emailed and asked to host a giveaway with me. They sent me an absolute perfect kit of my choice, yarn, also of my choice, in exchange for setting up an amazing giveaway. (<– disclosure ya’ll).

WAK LOGO

Did I tell you I’m excited? I mean like… over the moon excited! But before we get to that, let me tell you a bit more about We Are Knitters.

We Are Knitters is an international luxury yarn and knitting kit company. They ship worldwide glorious yarns and knitting kits (you know how I feel about knitting kits? Send me all the kits!!). They offer wool, cotton, baby alpaca, and merino yarns in addition to needles, notions, and pattern kits. The wool and cotton yarns are all 100% natural as are their Beechwood needles.

Now on to the good stuff…

I opted for the Doughnut Beanie and Snood Kit in the colors purple and grey. This is one of their easy knit kits. The beanie and snood are knit up flat then stitched up the sides (don’t forget to weave in your ends). I’m more than half way done with the beanie and I am so glad I get to touch this yarn. I could touch it all day, every day. It’s incredibly soft and squishy. I hate wearing anything made with stiff yarn close to my face or neck. This.Is.Perfection. God Bless those sheep. I’d love it if you follow my progress with the Doughnut Beanie and Snood kit on instagram hashtag #nikkiknitsasnood

Udon Blanket Kit

I’d probably choose Spotted or Red for a pop of color but don’t let me tell you what to choose!

I can’t begin to tell you how much you’re going to love this yarn. But what I also loved about my kit is the detailed instructions. WAK even tells you where to find more information on techniques used in the pattern if you’re struggling.

Let’s giveaway some We Are Knitters  yarn shall we?

To enter to win follow the instructions on the handy, super simple rafflecoptor giveaway below. There are TWO mandatory entries if you want to win and a host of optional ones. I’ve given you enough options that you could do them all or just do the two required. No pressure and I promise it will be fun!

That’s it! The giveaway ends on July 1st at midnight. Good luck!

I’m so conflicted about sharing news of your giveaway since the more people who know the lower my odds of winning – and this yarn looks GORGEOUS. But I’ll play fair and hope spread the word.

What color would I choose? There are so many great colors it will be hard to choose. But the natural tones seem to be calling my name.

What a great giveaway! The yarn looks so wonderfully soft. I’m going to probably choose a pretty tame color if I win though. I’m thinking the taupe would be lovely, and easy to match any decor.

Prepared as always with all my electronics, I'm thankful my kindle was fully charged as was the keyboard because my tablet definitely wasn't... Sure, I have pen and paper but that's for brainstorming! I was also in need of my favorite chai!

Have I ever told you how much I hate needles? If n Have I ever told you how much I hate needles? If not, let me explain.

A childhood of being poked, held down, crying over the feeling of a needle under my skin has left me traumatized to the point of even feeling lightheaded, dizzy, and nauseous at times.

The very idea that I have to do this to myself twice a day for the next week makes me want to vomit. I begged them to not make me do it but when I told the NP how I felt, ugh... it was dismissed.

Wasnt there another option? Apparently not as warfarin isn't reliable (current blood thinner) or so I have been told.

I've been told this doesn't hurt and that I won't feel a thing but I've been lied to before.

If you don't hear from me in the morning, there's a good chance I fainted and cracked my head open on the floor.
